Rapid Incident Response Phases

We are experienced, equipped and prepared to manage emergencies that require temporary traffic management (TTM). Typically, emergency responses unfold in four distinct phases:
Short-Term Response

In the initial hour, the reaction is immediate and sometimes resource constrained. Minor vehicle crash situations may be resolved in the short- term itself and normal operations resumed.

Medium-Term Response

From the first hour until approximately three hours post- incident, the response remains reactive, but additional resources become available as we continue to assess the situation on the ground and respond.

Long-Term Response

Starting around three hours after the incident until stabilisation, this phase involves increased leadership and oversight, allowing for planned adjustments in the response strategy. These could be a major crash involving police investigation, sinkholes, flooding, etc.

Recovery Period

Post-stabilisation until the return to normal operations.
